After months of waiting Nikhil Siddhartha’s Keshava finally hit theatres on May 19. The film directed by Sudheer Varma also has Ritu Varma, Isha Koppikar, Vennela Kishore and Rao Ramesh playing pivotal characters. The trailers and songs of the movie pointed to the direction that the movie would be a revenge drama and true to the expectation, the first half of the movie does live up to it.
The director banks the initial half of the 1 hour 56 minutes film in which Keshava (Nikhil), a law student, is introduced as a person on a mission to avenge the death of his parents.
Satyabhama (Ritu Varma) is shown as Keshav's childhood friend who joins his class but gets ignored until she confronts him. On the other hand, with a rare heart condition, Keshav manages to kill his targets (cops) and invites the wrath of police in the form of a special officer (Isha Koppikar). Satyabhama learns that the murders took place whenever Keshav was on leave and confronts him. Keshav confesses of his crime and what follows is an exciting scene between Special Officer and Keshava until the interval.
The movie starts off on an engaging note and the title credits are quite interesting. Comedy that is intertwined in the story gets a good feedback with the viewers. Priyadarshi, Vennela Kishore entertain you throughout until the intermission.
